Fighting Liberal Lies!
What happens when you live without liberalism and few unions

By Jim Hayett

Not often do I get the chance to watch Glen Beck since I prefer to
watch or listen to the stock market wrap-up on weekdays. But for some
reason I was glued to Beck when I surfed channels and saw a picture of
two cities 65 years apart.

All of us at one time or another most likely received an email about
the story of two major cities: One in Japan and the other in the US.
Sixty five years ago, Hiroshima started to rebuild their city after
hundreds of thousands died when the US dropped the A-Bomb. The entire
city was in ruins with no chance of ever recovering from the aftermath
of a nuclear attack. Sixty five years ago a city in Michigan was
making cars and had the icon as one of the top production states in
the US. Fifteen years later both cities made major decisions that
would ultimately change their fate and their people.

The pictures seen in this URL
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/2349112/posts have been
tossed around the internet over the past few years. I forgot how to
post pictures on my blog so I will let you peruse through the old and
new pictures of Hiroshima and Detroit.

Fifteen years after the A-Bomb was dropped, Detroit moved to a liberal
democrat run city and has been mostly that way for the past 50 years.
Hiroshima saw the affects of socialism and decided to move away.
Detroit escalated the unions and thought liberalism and the unions
would move Detroit to even higher levels not seen by any US city.
Hiroshima decided that neither the unions nor liberalism could bring
their city back to life.

Today, Japan runs a 92% high school graduation rate while Detroit
barley gets 50% of their kids to finish 12th grade. Yet 50 years ago,
before the teachers union and the NEA adopted the unions, and the
liberal democrats took over, Detroit was a model city. Now it’s one of
the armpits of America.

Today, Detroit is a complete mess and Hiroshima is a model city. One
removed all aspects of socialism and US liberalism while the other
embraced liberal democrats and our unions. Need I say more?

Just a quick question - how many millions/billions of dollars in
aid did the US provide Japan? Is it possible that might have had some
effect also?
