Congress Announces Support for Demonstration on Gaza

 Congress is supporting a mass demonstration on Saturday June 5, which has 
been called by the Irish Palestine Solidarity Campaign to protest at the 
killing of members of the humanitarian flotilla by the Israeli Defence 
Forces and the illegal detention of Irish and other activists in Israel.



The demonstration will assemble at Parnell Square at 2pm on Saturday and 
march to the Department of Foreign Affairs on Stephen's Green, Dublin. 
Speakers will include Irish participants in the flotilla who returned to 
Ireland in recent days, including politicians, trade union leaders and 
representatives of NGO's.



Congress is calling on all affiliate unions to support Saturday's 
demonstration.
