But there have been a good number of rather large protests (albeit
relative to previous levels of inactivity), some of them very militant
(ones in Athens, London, and Paris for instance), in the USA and
Europe since the start of the latest Israeli war.  Not totally
hopeless, I think.

As for Kunstler, I never liked his stuff anyway!
