Those who adopt the discourse of sexual orientations and then find
themselves in a minority may wish to have a community based on their
minority status, but what if you create a nation in which all people
have the right to have sex, same-sex sex or different-sex sex, the way
they want to between consenting adults?  In such a nation, those who
regularly have same-sex sex, exclusively or in combination with
different-sex sex, may be a majority of people.  In such a case, just
about the whole nation is queer, and that sounds better to me than
confining the freedom to have same-sex sex to a queer minority.
