[A-List] Bahais: what about some dialectic materialism in search of an explanation?

Couldn´t someone take a serious dialectical materialist interest on this and tell us the social, economic and political history of the Bahai sect? Couldn´t someone tell us _who_ these 1844 Bahais were? Was hatred of the Bahais something stemming out just from a doctrinal dissidence? Or the Bahais had some _social_ meaning in Persia, 1844, that set them against someone or something in that society, other than the personal interests of the clergy (a possibility not to be relinquished if we try to understand seriously). If I don´t remember wrongly, we tend to believe that the conditions of existence are the prime lever to understand the forms of consciousness. Otherwise we might fall in senseless mud-slinging. And, BTW, as to the conspirational issue, yes, the CIA did not exist in 1844, nor the USA as an international actor. They wre very active preparing themselves to head South West under the leadership of the Southerner slaveowners. But what about, er, British diplomats and a
gents? Anyway, I would subject the issue to the questions I posed above.
