Perhaps you are being breathless in being so misled. In fact the title is supposed to convey the lingering spectre of the Spanish Civil War of the 1930s, as communities begin to come to terms with the losses inflicted upon them by Franco at that time and subsequently. It seems to have taken long enough, even with the demise of the Franco regime, for this accounting with history to have taken place. All despite a supposedly "Socialist" administration during the 1980s.

Spectres tend to refer to the past. When I think there is any likelihood of civil war in Spain in the near future, I'll be sure to use a word like "prospect" in any thread title.
